Principle

This website is a purely static site. It sets no cookies, uses no trackers, and embeds no third-party content before you actively interact with it.

Hosting

The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.). When you visit the site, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data (e.g. IP address, date and time of access, requested file) to deliver and secure the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Audience measurement relies solely on Cloudflare Web Analytics, which works without cookies and without client-side tracking of individuals.

YouTube videos (privacy-enhanced mode)

Episode videos are loaded only after you click on the preview, via youtube-nocookie.com (Google Ireland Ltd.). Before that click, no connection to Google is made. By clicking, you consent to the transfer of data to Google (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Google's privacy policy applies.

Audio playback (Spotify player)

Episode audio plays in Spotify's embedded player (Spotify AB, Sweden), which — exactly like the video above — is loaded only after you click the play button. Before that click, no connection to Spotify is made. By clicking, you consent to the transfer of data to Spotify (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); Spotify may then set cookies or comparable storage in your browser and can recognise you if you are logged in. Spotify's privacy policy applies.

Where an episode has no Spotify player yet, the audio file is delivered by the podcast host (Spotify for Creators / Anchor) instead, and a connection to its servers is likewise only established when you actively start playback.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
